What Phase 1 builds

The prototype settles the design. These are the parts that need the department, its data and its other systems, and they are where the nine months go.

  • Identity checks against SeyID

The screen and the record exist. The live lookup is an integration the department has to authorise.

  • Mapping and parcel geometry

Holdings carry coordinates today. Boundaries, overlays and area from the map come with the GIS work.

  • Messages that actually leave

Dispatches are queued and their failures are visible. Connecting the SMS and mail gateways is Phase 1.

  • The public portal

Sign-up and application screens are prototyped. Opening them to the public needs the department's identity rules settled.

  • Working away from the office

Field officers record visits on the same screens. Capturing them offline and syncing later still has to be built.

  • Migrating what exists

The register runs on demonstration data. Bringing across the paper files and the current spreadsheets is its own exercise.

What it looks like in use

The operational overview, captured from this prototype. Every figure on it links to the records behind it, carrying its own filter.

Demonstration data only. Names, references and amounts are invented for this prototype and describe no real person or holding. Photography is illustrative.
